Introduction to ScrumWorks Pro
ScrumWorks Pro is a multi-user system to help teams manage Scrum projects. There are two ways to reach the data stored on a ScrumWorks Pro server: a full-featured GUI application program (the ScrumWorks Pro Desktop Client) and a simpler ScrumWorks Pro Web Client (browser-based). The Desktop Client allows complete manipulation of all ScrumWorks Pro data. The Web Client provides convenient team-oriented task list when the full power of the Desktop Client isn't needed.

ScrumWorks Pro users are created and modified by the Administrator user. ScrumWorks Pro users can log into both the Desktop Client and Web Client.

ScrumWorks Pro Clients and Server
ScrumWorks Pro Desktop Client: Overview
The ScrumWorks Pro Desktop Client has two main windows, and multiple sub-views. The Product Window provides a product backlog for prioritization as well as an interface for planning and tracking sprints. The Sprint Detail view provides teams a way to track Sprint progress, complete with Sprint Burndown charts.

The Program Window gives high-level planners a way to organize and coordinate work across multiple Products.

ScrumWorks Pro Desktop Client: Product Window
Product Window

Each Product in ScrumWorks Pro has its own Product Window. The Product window can be customized using a flexible docking framework to suit user needs.

The Product Window uses a two-column paradigm. On the right is your Product Backlog, divided in releases (or milestones). Priorization happens using drag-and-drop, where high priority work is moved to the top of list, while low priority work is moved down. The context menus (right click) reveal most functionality.

The left pane represents Sprints (typically 4-week iterations) in chronological order organized into tabs by Team. Adding work to Sprints is easily accomplished by dragging it from the right pane to the target Sprint.

The tabs on the left pane display the teams that are working on the open product. Each team's sprints show up in separate tabs.

Programs are useful in organizing large and complex Products, or even groups of Products. Product planners can decompose feature ideas all the way down to actionable Backlog Items and organize them using a flexible hierarchical tree control system.

These feature groups can then be weighted according to their value. Track the value delivered at any level using the Business Value Burn-up report.

ScrumWorks Pro Web Client
Web Client

The Web Client gives team members fast, easy access to sprint-oriented information. Using a web-based Taskboard, Team Members can make quick updates to Sprint task status and hours remaining using drag-and-drop.

The Web Client is a convenience feature and is not intended as a full replacement for the Desktop Client.
