This guide is for migrating an existing ScrumWorks Basic or ScrumWorks Pro Windows installation using Hypersonic to the latest ScrumWorks Pro distribution running on Linux server.
These instructions have been tested on Debian Linux and Ubuntu Linux. If you have success with other flavors of Unix, please post your experiences to our support forum.
The first migration step is to backup the ScrumWorks Pro server you intend to migrate. Although the migration process should not affect your existing data, it is always a good idea to back up data before upgrading.

You must upgrade your existing Windows-based ScrumWorks Pro server installation to the latest release before migrating.
Follow the appropriate upgrade instructions before continuing this migration guide.
The ScrumWorks Pro service must be shutdown prior to running the setup program in the next step. This is done one of two ways:
