This guide is for migrating an existing ScrumWorks Basic or ScrumWorks
Pro Windows installation using Hypersonic to the latest ScrumWorks Pro distribution running on
a Unix server.
These instructions have been tested on Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux, and Mac OS X. If you have
success with other flavors of Unix, please post your experiences to our
support forum.
Before beginning, please back up your data according to our
instructions.
- Seriously,
back up your data.
- Make sure you have the latest Windows ScrumWorks Pro distribution.
If not, request an installation file from our web site and
follow the appropriate upgrade instructions before continuing here.
- Download the latest Unix version and follow the
Linux installation instructions or the
Mac OS X installation instructions.
- Stop the service on your Windows server.
- Before starting your new Unix version, you need to copy your data from Windows
to Unix.
- SCRUMWORKS_HOME/server/scrumworks/data/hypersonic/scrumworks.script
- SCRUMWORKS_HOME/server/scrumworks/data/hypersonic/scrumworks.properties
- Start the Unix server as described in the
Linux installation instructions or the
Mac OS X installation instructions.
- Point your clients at the new server.
